I am a webmaster and have been making websites for living.I bought webspace for my clients from Powweb as it was having good reputation before.But like how all dreams come to an end,my career really faced a huge problem because of Powweb.Earlier power web was owned by Endurance but when it got dissolved with ipower things got really bad for me.They changed the pricing of their plans and over charged the existing customers and apart from that to make my job worse they even removed many facilities and tools and also some of my clients website also got removed and i got hell lot of complaints from my customers.It was the worst expereince in my career.So GUYS STAY AWAY FROM THEM AS FAR AS POSSIBLE,I MEAN WAYY FAR

I used Powweb hosting for more than a one year and 2 months now, I can say they have good Linux based hosting with great customer service. Their reply is not fast but they would contact you in 24 hours, also I found out that the live chat is a better way for solving small issues fast.
Their main issue might be that they only offer one plan (unlimited space and bandwidth), which is true as I can see (till now) after reaching a space usage of over 100 gig.
Another thing that I had problem with is their mysql databases, as I had trouble connecting to them (either for being slow in response or flooded), but this issue was solved from 2 months, and everything is running smooth.
They usually have great offers, as their regular price is about 7$/month, but they can go down to 3.88$/month, so I recommend you to check on main festivals and events.
