Ok, finally here’s my chance to let the world know how IX service fared compared to the other web hosts. Years ago, just like anyone else I wasn’t sure about it and even though I’ve heard rumors and bad experiences encountered by other webmasters regarding IX, I wasn’t even bothered or perturbed at all. Maybe I was a bit greedy because their cheap hosting plan sounds too irresistible. So I paid the money, and soon after I uploaded my site, the nightmare began. Not only was the overall speed horrible and site slow to respond but occasionally you will also find that there were unexplained errors. Although I couldn’t recall or pinpoint the exact problem, the less I think of it, the better it is. The problems kept coming back until I decided to abandon and search for a new web host. My advice? Forget about IX.
Being my first web host, I would rate IX at somewhere between the borderline on mediocre and a bit overrated. Basically the package that they are offering was quite expensive and you can actually get the same features somewhere else with other web hosting sites. Although their server was rather reliable with rare incident of downtime, I still think it can be further improved. However having said that, I have to praise them on the customers support side because if I could still remember, the replies to my queries were rather quick and accurate to solve the problem. I would remain neutral with my review here but please note that opinions can always differ because this was based on my own experience with them until early 2008.
I have tested different web hosts before and IX web-hosting is one of them that lives up to expectation. Even though there are a lot of negative reviews about them floating around in the net, generally I don’t buy any of it. Personally I feel that all the problems that cropped up were due to badly written codes and script. My experience with them was overall a pleasant one. I did not encounter any major problem before nor other issues especially on getting replies to my opened tickets. I can even say that the support team was very helpful and knowledgeable to guide me through. I would not hesitate recommending anyone to try out IX web-hosting.
This is the first host i ever tried because of a promotion.I bought a linux hosting package there hoping everything is ok. To my horror, the server became very unstable and they always have to restart their server.
The price was cheap also but it was not worth it.
The support is horrible too, my tickets are replied more then 20 hours and their staffs close the ticket immediately after they answer it. I tried to request refund after 20 days as they have 30 days money back guarantee. So i open a ticket and request money back and they say they could refund. I was glad that they refund me So i would not recommend anyone to this host.
I used IXWebhosting for over 2 years. For the most part they were okay when I had very little traffic but their database phpMyAdmin was always terribly slow. As soon as my traffic started to pick up, there were huge problems with performance. My tiny 1000 line scripts were taking 5-25 seconds to execute!!! Even when there were less then a 1000 entrys in the databases. I even optimized with indexes. I can’t bear to have my site run that slow, so I’m going to another hosting company.
Also over the two years, they were down for more then 12 hours, at least 4 times, cumulative 3 days downtime or so: this is within tolerance but the overall performance (script execution time) is to slow.
I been a faithful customer of this company for past 2yrs.I haven’t even changed from their hosting plan because of their good services which i was fortunate enough to enjoy during those days but now the scenario has somehow changed.They don’t show their past sincerity that they had for the customers nowadays.These guys have turned out to be like thieves.I had to suffer a lot of problems because of them.My site went constantly offline,It took hell lot of time for the website to load which never ever happened before.Even when i try submit a ticket regarding my troubles they don’t seem to reply on time and even if they did reply the answers are a lot confusing These guys don’t seem to know English well..People do please avoid this web hosting company from your list.If there was an option to give them a zero star i would have given it gladly.
I have had my ups and downs with Ixwebhosting
They have upgraded and it was a little inconvenient. They have answered my trouble tickets and walked me through on stuff I did not know. They are very polite and help full. I am here to stay God bless

These guys don’t seem to know English well..People do please avoid this web hosting company from your list.If there was an option to give them a zero star i would have given it gladly.

I have had my ups and downs with Ixwebhosting
