So, I decided after all the advertising on tv, to get my site hosted on Godaddy. Actually, I’d also bought a dot info from them too, and I thought it would be easier to have them host it. What a mistake !
The technical support is a joke, and so is their speed. I tried to phone the technical support but I couldn’t get through (or no one was picking up the phone (surprise surprise)), and they still haven’t got back to any of the emails I sent them (I sent them 2). All I can say, is remember:
“If it’s too good to be true, it probably is”
I’m moving to another web host as soon as possible, and hopefully, I can get some tips from this very site !!!
Well i must admit that i have been using Go Daddy now for some 6 or 7 years, however, only for domain registrations. Just recently i have tried them for hosting and found a few issues tbh.
Customer support by email is atrocious and being UK based a phone call is not an option. They are very very slow and deal with problems as though it is going to cost them money to sort them out.
The use of their site whilst trying to manage hosting accounts is very slow and hard to suffer. It is also not very clear with navigational problems an everyday occurence.
I have just started to use Godaddy these last two months. The main reason I had signed up with them was that I had bought a new domain which was already registered at Godaddy and it was easier to transfer the domain if I had an account.
My experience has been that whilst Godaddy is a low cost way of getting started I do feel their support leaves a lot to be desired. The domain transfer was quick and easy but it took around three days to resolve the hosting issues. Customer support is slow,I had to use email as I am based in the UK. A lot of the answers were generic and failed to address the specific issues I had with the hosting.
My view, good value for cheap domains but hosting!!!!
I used godaddy hosting recently in which i was very much dissatisfied with the features as managing the godaddy site is very slow also the site is very slow.
Their Email support is also not so nice as it takes very long time to get the reply from them.
coming to the value of hosting they offer linux and windows hosting as the windows hosting is offered by very little webhosts.
their offers in domains are great as i got a domain just for $1.19.
finally to conclude that host with godaddy is completly dissatisfied..
Hi i am having an account with godaddy. So i will share my experience with you. Basically the loading of the godaddy home page is very slow. Needs to load so many things it makes customers frustrating and their charges are some what little bit higher. They are providing some coupons so the cost will reduced in bulk. coming to hosting they are charging very high amounts. Its better to take hosting some where while if we register domain here. But the hosting is comes with .net support and it is working nicely. The transfer of domains from anywhere to here is good. They are providing god reseller packages and benefits to resellers. Their support is satisfactory. Finally the godaddy has both advantages and disadvantages and it is going well domain hosting company.
This is the 1st company I used for hosting, and to be honest, my experience hasn’t been as bad as some of the accounts I’ve read on here.
I had access to my site very quickly, and my one and only technical issue was resolved within 1 business day.
May not offer as great service as others, but i can’t say that they’re not trying.
sorry, I forgot to add, that they’re doing some of the cheapest domains available, at only $0.99, and I bought both of my domains from them. And if you can get the codes, then you can also get discounts off the .com that they are also selling on their site.
P.s. look out for their offers which they seem to have quite regularly too.

The next thing I really like the godaddy is they offer domain at very cheap rate form 0.99$ its simply rocks. I hosted more that 20 domain on godaddy and I can say it is perfect for hosting and domain registration.
I have been hosting my site on the VPS of Godaddy for couple of years now and I would like to make some points which I think is worth mentioning.
1. They don’t have any option to upgrade the VPS but I need to purchase other VPS and then move my site which I think is not worth doing it.
2. They say they provide Adwords coupon which never worked and I tried contacting them as well as Google but nothing more than moving to and fro from Google and godaddy.
It does not get 5 in any apart from the Value because probably they are offering it for quite cheap.

Honestly, the advertising is too much compare to it’s customer support. Even though the price is quite cheap, I find it really hard just to buy a new domain. The website layout is not user friendly, and need to make it more simple.
In term of loading, I think there is no difference with other server base in US compare to other hosting here that base in Malaysia which a bit slow. I prefer server base in US.
Godaddy marketing strategy is no doubt the best compare to other hosting, but the implementation need some improvement.

I think this company is very popular because their marketing technique is powerful and their price sometimes cheap especially if we use their promotion coupun. actually I buy domain from it by using coupon also. I anly pay $1.19 if I not wrong.
However, like vinay say, the time loading of godaddy website is too or very slow. So that, we forced take long time just for wait the loading page complete when purchase. It not only one page but more than that.
I dont have any comment about their support because until now I never get problem yet.
If you ask me, are I will purchase domian or hosting from them again. I said YES but for domain only because their price cheap.. Hosting I prefer purchase with company in my country….
There are several things I like about Godaddy. One is that I know Godaddy will be around for a long time. I don’t have to worry about the site going down and taking my website with it. Another reason I like godaddy is because they have so many features for you to use, and a lot for free. I recently added a forum on my site in only 5 minutes. It was so easy. And the best part was that it was free. And third, I like Godaddy because of their commercials:)
One reason I don’t like Godaddy is because their customer support isn’t as fast as other companies. I had an issue with my hosting and I had to wait over a week to get an answer back. So I guess that’s the tradeoff; do you want a reliable host or quick customer support. I obviously chose reliable host and I don’t regret it.
I used to code mobsterfamily.com which was hosted on godaddy. Well i would never suggest godaddy for their hosting! Their speciality is domains but as webhosts there are too many others better than them. The support was very poor when required. The pricing is very high without coupons considering the features offered. The domains though are very nice. Currently the site was shifted to another host but the domain is still renewed with godaddy. While comparing the support, speed and price of the new hosts with that of godaddy the new hosts surely get the better of it! My suggestion is use their domain but their hosting is not worth the price
I don’t have complaints whatsoever with Godaddy’s services. They’ve got a 24/7 costumer support service, being responsive for me during problems. Lingo wise when talking about the customer service is excellent, there are no problems for technically problematic noobs out there, like me , they’ve been talking with understandable language so i give them a congratulations for this. They will also come to your rescue in just a short time, when you really are in need of help.
Overall, i give them support, for a highly recommended service to customers. I really love their work in providing domain and web-hosting plans, way too cool for my type of work.

I like that you can buy a domain at Godaddy and move right on to buy inexpensive hosting for your domain name. Did you know you get a free hosting credit from Godaddy if you buy a domain name through them? I have a couple of free hosted domains at Godaddy, and never a problem with uptime.
But, for the most part, I chose to buy hosting for my domains.
Godaddy’s uptime is great. I’ve never witnessed a downtime on any of my sites yet.
Godaddy’s customer service should be handled strictly on the telephone if you want immediate attention. When using email customer service I found their reply time to be slow AND not on point.
Overall I give Godaddy an A – . They would get an A + if they handled their emails better.

Despite being one of the cheapest host including domain registration, certain issues remain in doubt here that actually made me to switch to a new one. First of all is on the feature and navigation of their control panel. I’ve found that some of the items and basic functions are rather difficult to find and sometimes I get lost among the menus. Another complaint is on the email service. Sometimes I get tons of junk that never get filtered out. There are times however that incoming legitimate mails got bounced back instead, so I’m pretty sure there must be something wrong here on how their spam filter works. At least despite all the problems, their support team was helpful to assist me throughout my ordeal. Overall, I would say they are an average hosting company.

Being a big and well known website, I bought a domain name from them and also decided to host it with them. But this was the biggest mistake I made in my life. The hosting speed is not that great and it starts to decline even further as traffic starts building on it. I used to be hosted with GoDaddy.com. I experienced a lot of problems with this host, mainly lack of features and incompatibility to some common free forum software. My site is also laggy like I can’t even visit it for a whole day without timing out. Then they blame my forum software for causing lag, which is SMF. Well SMF is commonly used so how can it cause an error when I am updated to the latest version and other webmasters are happily using it. I searched google about it and it was some accelerator installed on their hosting that paralyzes the simplest web applications. I can’t believe how this host gets to oversell and still blame something like that. Service is like offshore or way worse than offshore. Support won’t help at all. My advice: GoDaddy for cheap domains but not hosting.
My domains are hosted with GoDaddy and I am having no problems with it. They provide the cheapest domains on the net. I have a small business that needed a website setup and their cheap domains saved me. It saved a lot of hassle of finding around the net about free domain offers. I also used their VPS service and it was ok. Not very bad and their vps offer a lot of options for the user. They can also do OS re installation if necessary and the support is fast. Takes only less than 5 hours for something complicated to be fixed. VPS is cheap and reliable. $50 you can get a server for sites that have medium to high traffic.
I really like the service provided by the GoDaddy, both the sale and purchase services or domain hosting service. I think, one of the benefits of GoDaddy is the speed and ease of operation of the process is done. Their support services are very helpful, especially for new customers though.
If talking quality of the hosting service that they offer, it can be quite good if compared to similar service providers. The offer price is also quite cheap. Their support is excellent, they will solve our technical doubts within 24 hours and their support is excellent. Their control panel is very easy to navigate and ease of use. First the speed of the site is very slow. as every one experience the same.
They give free webhosting by purchasing the domain, which is ad-enabled.
they use the customer support by email, which takes very long to get answer
their features are completely different which are not easily understandable.
for managing the hosting account we need to waste 2 to 3 hours of the time.
godaddy is good in getting domains but not for hosting. the site is too slow.

So, recently i decided to upgrade my hosting packages. So I was in search of some reliable and affordable hosting company.
I searched many hosting providers, but i selected godaddy and i am enjoying godaddy services at its best
I liked most the affordable packages by them which contains high bandwidth and high storage spaces at affordable prices.
Another thing which i liked is the uptime. The server is always up and is very efficent.
The Only thing i didnt like is unavailibilty if chat support on godaddy else godaddy rocks
Overall Godaddy is very good to use and very affordable hosting company. Go For It

The hosting speed is not that great and it starts to decline even further as traffic starts building on it. The support staff is also not very effective, they take a lot of time to answer and those too are not that satisfactory. But now as I already have an established website it is getting tough on me transfer it to some other host. I would just say that “Buy your domains from them and simply host it with some other more professional web host company”

I used to be hosted with GoDaddy.com. I experienced a lot of problems with this host, mainly lack of features and incompatibility to some common free forum software. My site is also laggy like I can’t even visit it for a whole day without timing out. Then they blame my forum software for causing lag, which is SMF. Well SMF is commonly used so how can it cause an error when I am updated to the latest version and other webmasters are happily using it. I searched google about it and it was some accelerator installed on their hosting that paralyzes the simplest web applications. I can’t believe how this host gets to oversell and still blame something like that. Service is like offshore or way worse than offshore. Support won’t help at all. My advice: GoDaddy for cheap domains but not hosting.

My domains are hosted with GoDaddy and I am having no problems with it. They provide the cheapest domains on the net. I have a small business that needed a website setup and their cheap domains saved me. It saved a lot of hassle of finding around the net about free domain offers. I also used their VPS service and it was ok. Not very bad and their vps offer a lot of options for the user. They can also do OS re installation if necessary and the support is fast. Takes only less than 5 hours for something complicated to be fixed. VPS is cheap and reliable. $50 you can get a server for sites that have medium to high traffic.

I really like the service provided by the GoDaddy, both the sale and purchase services or domain hosting service. I think, one of the benefits of GoDaddy is the speed and ease of operation of the process is done. Their support services are very helpful, especially for new customers though.
If talking quality of the hosting service that they offer, it can be quite good if compared to similar service providers. The offer price is also quite cheap. With the cheap price, I can already get a large storage space and sufficient bandwidth. Downtime speed is to be the one of the factors why I chose GoDaddy. Indeed, there is still a matter of less satisfactory, but still limits in.

Hello everyone,Recently i had bought a domain from godaddy for $0.99 and as i had enough chips to go for their web hosting plan i went forward with it.Let me tell you one thing,they really do a hell of advertising when compared to other competitors.But this turned out to be a huge mistake i have made.The site seemed to load slow and it kept on decreasing whenever the traffic seems to rise.Feature wise they are really user friendly and even a dummy would be able to correctly follow all the instructions correctly.The lesson i have learnt from godaddy is that they are the best when it comes to buying domains but when it comes to hosting it aint their game.So guys buy domain from then not hosting.

Hi i am going to share my experience with godaddy. Two years back i have registered few domains with them and also we took the hosting. Their support is excellent, they will solve our technical doubts within 24 hours and their support is excellent. Their control panel is very easy to navigate and ease of use. They will provide free hosting with each and every domain we registered there and one drawback is that they will keep top ads. They are good providers for dotnet based sites and also good sql server support databases. They also provide some good offers. I can give the rating good for dotnet based sites..

Gadaddy really is a decent host to get hosted with.They are the gods in the domain registration category because of their cheap prices. But it isnt too great when it comes to webhosting. I recently bought their webhost package along with the domain since i had got a few coupon codes for getting good discounts.Since godaddy being my first webhost, i am happy to say that i have no complaints so far.Till now i haven’t encountered a single downtime.Since i am newbie their customer service has been really good and responsive.The download speed is also quite reasonable for starters.
